Customised Contact Management Systems

This month's Newsletter provides detailed information on how Enmore can provide a customised and very flexible Contact Management System.

Contact Management is considered a base application in a Managed Web Support system since it can be evolved to support many different specific business functions such as Sales Management, Customer Service etc., but illustrated below are the basic elements of a core deployment.

The four boxes to the right of the diagram (in this colour) represent the main database elements (known in the system as Trackers) that are all interlinked. These are:

  • Organisation Master List: where the key details of each organisation can be maintained. The exact field types that you may need to maintain are all customisable to suit your needs and can not only be the usual location and description information but can also include more complex allocation to different sectors, and/or as customers/suppliers etc., so that you can segment and report on the organisations in different ways;
  • Individual Master List: where the key details of tracked individuals outside your organisation are kept. As with the Organisation List all the fields for this List are customisable and can include any appropriate segmentation for your needs, description fields as well as image fields;
  • Company Contact List: provides a separate database for maintaining appropriate details of individuals within your own company; and
  • Contact Log: allows a simple 'log' of all/any contacts made between company individuals and tracked external individuals - where the tracking can be used for a range of different purposes such as: sales meetings; workshops; PR/marketing events; etc.

This basic set of features allow a very flexible system to be deployed, and importantly it can be extended further plus when combined with our Select & Click automation tools, the system can also be customised to support the specific business process needs of the users.

In addition, because Trackers are just one of the many capabilities of the system software, a more extensive system can evolve over time using wiki pages, blogs, forums etc.
